Our Team
Stacey Sinwald, M.Ed., LPCC
I first want to thank you for being here! While I have always intended to have my own therapy practice, the outpour of support from the program development and wellness consulting has allowed me to expand my reach to far more individuals than I could have otherwise.
Although I will share my education and credentials, I also greatly value the experiences that I have been awarded based on my passion for wellness over the years. I received my Bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in sociology. My master’s degree is in clinical mental health counseling. As a current doctoral student, I am researching workplace wellness, specifically pertaining to the incorporation of therapy dogs for healthcare workers.
Professionally, I am a practicing therapist in the state of Ohio (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor), as well as a psychology professor for Oberlin College and Conservatory. I have additional training in Critical Incident and Stress Management as well as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). In addition to teaching and therapy, I am a professional dog trainer, specializing in therapy dog training.
Over the years I have had many public facing jobs which helped me realize my genuine interest in supporting other humans. Through my formal education and becoming a licensed therapist, I placed great value on meeting people where they are and being supportive in a variety of ways. As someone who has long valued fitness, nutrition, alternative wellness, and positivity, I am happy to be combining my formal education and training with my lifelong passions. This ultimately led me to begin Stay Wellness, Therapy, and Consulting, a company that offers an array of wellness services.
I can’t wait to be a part of your journey to become and STAY well!
Uno, Certified Therapy Dog
First and foremost, I identify as a good boy. As a certified therapy dog, I assist Stacey in some therapeutic activities, debriefings, programming, and consulting. Just like the humans I serve, I too continue to work on myself- nobody is perfect! I offer comedic relief, emotional support, and most importantly a nonjudgemental being to to be a part of your journey (upon request).
